Sonic tries to talk positively to Tails when he tells him to retire for his own safety. And it WOULD be BAD if it was permanent, but it would make SENSE for it to last more than one episode. Of course they won’t let that be permanent even though it’s a significant story idea. Sonic actually takes Tails’ injury seriously and checks his heartbeat, and he remarks super seriously that he’s never gonna let him get hurt again. Then Eggman uses a magnet on his Eggmobile to pick up the robot, reusing it properly, remarking about its weight like that’s a surprise. He jumps away from a robot and hits the rock near him, which falls over on the robot to defeat it creatively. Tails’ plane gets damaged, with Sonic being worried because of it. Tails makes an electrical rope Sonic somehow swings around on without electrocuting himself to death, and he hits something away because of that swinging around. Not a good start at all! I hope this isn’t an Establishing Character Moment for the kind of comedy we’ll have! Instead Eggman artificially is made to make a dumb mistake just so Sonic can humiliate him. It would’ve NOT been horrible forced comedy if Eggman had intended to give it a flamethrower at first and couldn’t because he was out of materials, and had to stick with the name because he had already permanently etched the name Burnbot into it. And it turns out they intentionally wrote Eggman to have a robot called Burnbot NOT shoot fire. Eggman threatens Sonic with a robot named Burnbot. We start out with Sonic chasing Eggman and then stopping right before he runs off a cliff. So let’s see how many plot holes are in THIS show. Why does the comedy show have a badass guitar theme song where the characters try to act cool? The show was always confused having the heroes look like action heroes with Sonic’s scarf and Knuckles’ muscles just to be all about comedy.
